BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Tuesday alleged that the government is conducting various false campaigns to create a rift in their party.
Speaking at a discussion, he also alleged that Tejgaon thana unit Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) acting president Zakir Hossain Milon died due to torture in police remand as part of the governments plan to eliminate its opponents.
The government is hatching various conspiracies against us. Various newspapers are running news, while false campaigns are there on Facebook against us to create a rift in BNP and its leadership, he said.
The BNP leader came up with the allegation while speaking at a discussion arranged by Bangladesh Hindu-Buddhist-Christian Kalyan Front at the Jatiya Press Club, demanding BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia and its standing committee member Gayeshwar Chandra Roys release from jail.
